Case studies include Joan of Arc; the writings of Christine de Pisan and Marguerite de Navarre; political roles of queen mothers, daughters, sisters, and mistresses of kings (Diane de Poitiers and Catherine de Medici, the 'Reine Margot'); the ways women molded artistic realities and were pictured in art.
