This high intermediate course allows students to reinforce and expand their ability to express themselves, defend an opinion, and debate with others. Special attention is paid to increasing students' ability to form complex sentences to express attitudes, wishes, necessity, doubt, emotions, to link ideas and to speculate.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Study familiar situations encountered in work, school, and leisure.
  2. Learn to formulate sentences about personal interests, express ideas and opinions, and interact with other French speakers.
  3. Handle situations likely to arise when living in France.
  4. Local and Global Perspectives: Students will enhance their intercultural understanding of languages, cultures, and histories of local societies and the global issues to which these relate.
